Josh Demuth moves into a third-place tie in the CMRC Monster Energy Motocross NationalsPosted by: Jay Vaillancourt |
In the first MX1 Moto, Adams came around the first turn in fifth while Demuth was stuck around tenth position. Once again, Demuth impressed everyone in attendance with his charge through the pack eventually finding himself in fourth with Adams following right behind in fifth. However, towards the middle of the moto Adams took a fall in a high speed corner and could not immediately remount his bike.

After winning last weekend in Edmonton, the team was looking to keep the momentum rolling as reigning MX2 Champion, Teddy Maier, battled to regain the points he lost at the opening round at Kamloops. Qualifying went well as all three MX2 riders qualified in the top five in times, with Maier qualifying second, Shawn Rife third and Spencer Knowles fifth, respectively. Meanwhile, in the MX1 class, Brock Hoyer qualified with the ninth quickest lap time.

With a packed beach, amazing music under the Monster tent and a surprise VIP cameo by T.J. Schiller the Rip Curl Stew reached new heights. Something was in the air for Noah Cohen, Keegan Varney and Simon Bauer, as these athletes were feeling the wrath of some sort of virus (Noah & Keegan had just gotten back from a trip to Indo with no time to recover before the Stew) which put them out of the finals.
Despite their results, these phenoms earned high-scale kudos for putting forth strong effort through the turmoil and still surfing.
